Process
My works begin and end with traditional painting. I use contemporary digital photography techniques as a middle stage creative step. The view of the original painting is reoriented, sometimes radically.
My original paintings don't exist for very long. As soon as they are photographed, I wipe and smear the paint to create the base layer of the next painting. Sometimes, I keep files of interesting images and offer them as editions. My favorites, I print and paint as unique mixed-media art objects.
